Welcome! We’re Drea and Vanessa—best friends for 22 years, born and raised in Albuquerque, NM.

Call it a mid-life awakening, but we found ourselves at a crossroads in our corporate careers, seeking a path that offered both freedom and purpose—one where we could own our time while giving back to our community. Inspired by the Adelitas of the Mexican Revolution—women who not only brewed Café de Olla for soldiers but also fought beside them—we embraced their spirit of resilience and strength. From that spark of inspiration, The Bean was born.

But every dream needs a builder. Our partner Oscar took that spark and turned it into reality by crafting our beautiful coffee truck, Juanita. With his vision and hands-on craftsmanship, he transformed an idea into the vibrant, welcoming space where we now get to serve our community each day. Juanita isn’t just a truck—she’s a labor of love, and a reminder that this dream was built together.
